Rodeo trip

We were given tickets to last night’s Houston Rodeo which we were happy to attend. We didn’t have time to walk through all the exhibits we’ll do that when we return next week. Robert Earl Keen and Canadian Ragweed were last nights bands. The show starts with the calf roping, and goes on to horse bucking, bull bucking, racing around barrels, a chuck wagon race and the children’s calf scramble winding up with the bands. I really enjoyed Cross Canadian Ragweed’s down home type rock. One of the utility companies put on a slide show of the New Orleans tragedy, thanked Houston and set off fireworks for everyone. I’m looking forward to going back a week from Friday and having some time to wander the exhibits.
