Say goodbye to Imus and radio

I won't miss Imus, I gave up listening to radio long ago. Regular radio was far too crude, especially before my morning coffee and NPR was always begging for money. Luckily a few years back podcasts started showing up. Some are classes, some are serialized novels, some are radio type shows. Almost all are free. The easiest way to manage them is to subscribe through iTunes ( which is free from Apple if you don't already have it ) iTunes will automatically check for new episodes and download them for you. Every one knows Google It's tough to beat Google's search results. But Yahoo has a nice new search engine it is testing. Online Classes and Education

It has been a while since I looked at this stuff but OpenCulture (sidebar link ) had an article today on iTunes university courses. Many of the sites I had bookmarked with open courses are gone or suffering from link rot. Here are places you can take classes via mp3, or class notes, or videos of the lectures online.

Might be a good time to learn something new or take a refresher course while we all wait for spring.
