Nautilus photos

We went to visit Moody Gardens again today. It was a great day for it, the place was deserted. I think the nautilus was the most fascinating critter I saw there today.

Houston Aquarium

It’s a good thing this photo was taken behind plexiglass, because I’m sure he thought I looked like a tasty snack.

We were in the city doing some errands today and decided to check out the aquarium. I had heard bad things about it so I didn’t want to make a trip into the city just for the aquarium. It’s very small, has little of interest and I would have felt totally ripped off except….

… for the white Bengal tigers at the end. They alone made the fee worthwhile. What impressive beasts they are and very endangered. The young ones here weigh in at about 250 pounds each and eat about 15 pounds of raw meat a day.
