Today’s Sunday and we thought we’d travel into Houston to see Mom. Well, she’s not mom, more like a distant aunt. Lucy is on display at The Houston Museum of Natural History. It was cool seeing Lucy. I was disappointed the bulk of the exhibit was religious relics and religious propaganda. But Lucy is worth seeing. We couldn’t take pictures of Lucy so no pictures here to show you, if you get a chance to see her, it’s worth the trip.
We also went to see the Lizards & Snakes Alive! exhibit and the Cockrell Butterfly Center. Both are excellent. It’s a pricey trip, every exhibit at the museum is an extra $10 or so and it racks up quick. The butterfly center is especially cool. It is a rain forest set up in a very large, very tall green house and it is full of butterflies.
