Someone I know went to a party not far back. While he was out fishing he hooked a hornets nest. The hornets swarmed him. He couldn’t jump in the water on account of the alligators. So he is in the boat rocking away and swatting at hornets. From shore someone thinks an alligator is attacking him. So what does everyone do? Whipped out those cell phone cameras and video recorders. Everyone is thinking ‘ I can blog this’ or ‘This’ll be great on You-Tube’. And so it occurs to me that from now on anything you do that is amusing, foolish, or entertaining will be permanently posted to the internet in a matter of minutes for the rest of the world to see and enjoy. It’s a brave new world, and it’s a lot of fun.
Remember when you were little and your mom told you someone was always watching you, even when you thought you were alone? It might not have been true then but it is now.

Overheard in the flyover:

While waiting for the new tires to be mounted on the car we overheard from a 20 something dude in shorts with a MacBook who was chatting on his cell phone ….
“Would your dad be interested in sponsoring me and my wife in our crusade?”

Odd customs in the flyover:

When a stranger knocks on your door, they knock then back up about six to eight feet from the door. It is the strangest thing. I am not sure if they do not want to scare you or if they are concerned you might be scary?
