We were wandering along the bayou trying to get close to some heron nests I had spied from the road and we ran across some deer.
Most of the group was off in the woods but this one had wandered down the bayou. He was in our way and we in his. So after scoping us out he decided to make a run for us. At about a 100′ away he jumped and darted and returned to his starting place. After a slight pause he made a second run for us, and again bailed about 100′ away. After the third try he gave up and ran off to the woods to our right. This looks like the same deer I photographed last week away from the herd.
