I heard you could sell anything on eBay. So I thought I could clean out the closets, make a few dollars and learn how to sell stuff on eBay. Seems being able to clean out your house and sell it on eBay is a required life skill now, like being able to dump your spam with out reading it, txt msg from your phone and all. It just seemed like something that I ought to know how to do.

I downloaded an ebook version of ‘eBay for Dummies’ and crash coursed the book in a week, with dreams of great riches from my junk dancing in my head.

So far it’s been three weeks and two weeks and two rounds of selling. No one would touch my old kitchen cabinet knobs even at a dollar a lot.

It took two rounds to clear the 20 odd nylon tote bags we used while moving from the house. I’ve one person to collect from and two boxes to ship.

And I’m only down $20! So it hasn’t worked out quite as I thought but… this week we are moving on to bigger and better things. I’m expecting to be out of the red and into the black next week and if so I’ll move on to selling bigger and better things.

Besides it suits the old hippy in me, better to see the stuff recycled than filling up a dump somewhere.

As always juggling several things here. I wrote and compiled my first ‘Hello World’ palm program. I’m hoping to put together some cool things for the Treos as time allows. There are several new and updated links on the Smart Phone Page
