Limping people and cats
Bleh, injured knee so no working out this week. Barney the cat is also limping, no idea what he did either?
Trying to stay put and not damage things further, easier said than done.
Word is the folks in Mississippi are having trouble getting information. The cable network is down so no tv or net for most. There is one radio station coming in but it is mostly talk and repeating the Red Cross phone numbers. Flood insurance is like basic fire it covers the structure but little else. So it doesn’t cover lights, appliances, possessions, or even rugs. It’ll realistically cover about 1/3 of the rebuilding costs. I know people who have been told by the insurance company that even though their home was on stilts several feet above high water it was flood damage and not covered under the regular policy. It looks like the troubles are just beginning for the survivors. Electricity is back in some sections of Biloxi and a few stores and gas stations have opened.
Reasons not to own a black and white cat:
I just went to call in the cats for the night. In comes Barney. I see something furry, black and white out back. Fred often hangs out and won’t come in till you go pick him up. So I go out to fetch Fred and Fred’s tails spreads out and gets way to big to be Fred’s tail even if it were poofed.
Wasn’t Fred.
Was a skunk…..
Missed getting sprayed, but barely….
Have no idea what a skunk was doing in the fenced in back yard with two cats.
