Settling in

In other news the kittens have learned to get on the fence. We have 6 neighbors all connected by a 6′ fence. They can wander from place to place provided they don’t fall off. The fell off in one neighbor’s yard a couple of days ago. The neighbor’s dog thought that was great fun. We found Fred all poofed hiding out front and Barney up a tree. We hope they will be a bit more cautious in their explorations now. The weather here is very much the same, mid-nineties days and mid-seventies nights. It downpours 2 or 3 times a week. Usually in the afternoon and only for a short while. I do miss the long summer days it feels like winter getting light so late ( 7 ish ) and dark so early ( 8 ish ) and it throws you off balance when you are thinking Fall and walk out into 90′ weather.

This week has been one of those where the world really was not working with me. I wiped out my passenger mirror on my car on the garage door yesterday. The dishwasher flooded the kitchen today. I finally got around to cleaning out and figuring out the gas fireplace. Who knew ashes would be so hard to remove? The cats and I looked like Cinderella for two days. I came home from shopping yesterday and the cover came off the fabric softener. Yuck! What a mess, at least that was on the floor, not rug or in the car.

I’m really enjoying these podcasts while I’m working out, Skepticality especially. I’m also looking for a basket for the bike that I can put the kittens in so they can go too. Won’t they be thrilled? ( just kidding )
