Roadside people in Texas
Now we’re coming down from Mass. one of the two thinnest states to Texas one of the fattest. I don’t think there are more heavy people here, it’s just those that are heavy are very much heavier than those up North. There are more extremes here, income is much lower and higher, people are much shorter and much taller, thinner and heavier than up north. It is like they left the middle out of everything.
We tried to open a checking account at Wells Fargo. The guy wouldn’t stop with a sales pitch to sell us savings accounts, money market accounts &c, &c. Finally we told him just checking or we’re leaving and he still didn’t let up so we ended up walking out with him following us still doing a high pressure sales pitch. We opened an account at the bank across the street instead. What a trip.
