This morning I watched a robin catch a snake. The snake was about 20″ long and about a half inch thick. Eventually the robin won, but I found the snake in the yard when we were pruning so I guess he didn’t have the snake for breakfast?
Couldn’t stand not gardening any longer. Today we went to the nursery and purchased a lemon tree, oleander, gardenia, rose, banana tree and a palm tree. I can’t wait for them to grow now. We also did a heavy pruning. All the shrubs around the house are now cut away from the house and below window level. They look rather sorry, but they will fill back in quick enough.
I think I’m going to put clusters of herbs in the front bed.
