11 days to move out day

April 17th, 2005 · No Comments

Yesterday we went down to NYC to the MoMA. They had Van Gogh’s Starry Nights, many Picasso’s, Pollacks, Goghans, Kadinskys, and Monets. I was disappointed not to see more of the current top artists, but it was still worth the trip. We wandered 5th Ave a bit, and went to the Tiffany’s there. I hadn’t been. The second floor is the diamond floor and it has some amazing pieces. We went to a Turkish place for dinner. I had some roasted eggplant with peppers, tomatoes, lemon, and caramelized onions that was served cold. It was nice and very different. We also came across St Patrick’s Cathedral and had a chance to wander about. It is just like the European cathedrals on a much smaller scale.

Today’s been a lazy day and I’ve been scaring up the locations of TA Truck Stops, Cracker Barrel Restaurants and Marriott Hotels for our road trip. The hotel finder part of the Marriott Hotel site is terrible. It took forever and constant flips back and forth between pages. All this eating out and sitting around looking stuff up is not doing me any favors, I’m rapidly growing sideways.
