And it’s Showtime!
Not quite but we’re getting closer. It is amazing how many trash bags we are going through. I empty and put clean liners in all the trash cans for every showing so we are throwing out many bags per week here. Showers get taken at the end of the day rather than early so as not to mess up those pretty, shiney bathrooms. Laundry too, who wants to see our dirty laundry? So I’m doing it all before each showing so we are running through many more loads per week. The fabric softener makes the laundry room and also all the closets full of clean linens smell nice so I guess I’m getting something for nothing out of the extra laundry.
It will be so nice when we get an offer, I feel like all I’ve done for the last 6 weeks is clean, then try not to mess the place up.
PM Now we wait. The Salesman is out of town today so I doubt we will hear anything before tomorrow. There are foot and hand prints everywhere. I think that is a very good sign. They are the first people to go out and check out the fish pond too. Looks like there was a little one in tow also.
At least we did not have to wait long. They loved the first floor, but hated the 2nd floor layout. Talk about irony.
I’ve been tracking the number of showings on Mapass. The national realtor’s site says the average is 10 showings per sale. On Mapass the number of showings to listed houses averages 7 showings every 4 weeks. Which either means the turn around time is wrong that the realtor gave us and the homes are selling in 6 weeks. Or if he is correct and it takes 60 to 90 days to sell than it takes 14-21 showings. Either way we are way behind at 4 showings in 6 weeks.
And some idiot ordered more snow. We made the mistake of doing the grocery shopping during the showing and was a zoo. Turns out there is another good sized snow storm heading this way.
