Today I brought a ton of things up to the sister’s house. Her plow battery kept draining so she was trying to fix it before the storm gets here. We found a lose wire connecting the alternator to the battery. So figuring that was the problem Sister started to tighten it. It sent sparks everywhere. Being the geniuses we are we figured turning off the truck would be a good idea.
She tried again and got sparks. After we blew out the fire on the battery, we figured perhaps disconnecting the battery first might be a good thing. Duh. Sometimes it’s a wonder we get through the day. All is better now. The plow is happy and we survived.
The storm looks like it is fizzling out as they mostly do. I’m sure the weathermen sold lots of advertising this week. It is amazing how much they hype even remotely possible storms.
