SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Reuters) - Texas humorist Kinky Friedman, who wrote the song “They Ain’t Makin’ Jews Like Jesus Any More,” announced on Thursday his independent candidacy for the state’s governorship.

I can see Texas politics won’t be boring.

No calls for showings. I emailed The Salesman and again requested he put some interior picts on the MLS online listing. He tells me no, price is the answer. He says we should see what tomorrow’s newspaper ad brings. He also suggests an open house. I dug about online and it seems open houses only bring in your neighbors and unqualified buyers. When we first agreed to have him sell our home he told me he did not do open houses that he only ever sold one home at an open house. I think he is just trying to keep me busy and our of his hair. I think I’ll pass on that.

I think the price is ok, I asked The Salesman to send me the list of homes on South Main with in a few blocks of us that have sold recently. There have been many. Perhaps I’m kidding myself and the price is still off?
